climbing bag:




This is my main climbing bag, and it contains just about everything I need while tower-climbing, short of
rope. It also contains a medical kit and other items that a ground crew may need during an event.

Firt Aid Pocket: contains a basic travel first-aid kit, to which I have added antiseptic spray, triple-
antibiotic, medical shears (for removing clothing) as well as an emergency whistle.

Radio Pocket: contains a set of quality FRS radios, as well as a single speaker mic for me.

Ascender Pocket: contains my good ol Jumar ascenders and associated tether and foot ropes. Frequently
used by ground crew for keeping a secure grip on the heavy lift rope.

Ground Crew Pocket: contains an assortment of carabiners etc, figure-8 and ATC, as well as some "junk hardware"
for situations where we need to do temp maintenance on a tower and leave gear in the elements until we can
follow-up for a complete fix.

Paracord Pocket: contains an assortment of paracord-550, several climbing straps, electrical tape, and
a spare loose-parts container.

Descender Pocket: contains a descender as well as a few prussic loops. Might move the figure-8 and ATC
into that pocket later.

The main storage area of the range bag contains my fall-arrest climbing harness, small lift bag, climbing
fanny pack, and water bottle, as well as a spare fall-arrest tether.
